WHAT IS VETERINARY REHABILITATION? 

The American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians defines veterinary rehabilitation as the treatment of physical injury or illness in an animal to decrease pain and restore function. . 
A physical rehabilitation veterinarian treats muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve, bone and joint injuries, and uses physical medicine to restore maximal function, relieve pain, and
enhance recovery from injuries and degenerative conditions. 

WHY REHAB? 

Many veterinary patients may benefit from rehabilitation therapy.  Some indications include: post-operative orthopedic surgery (such as a TPLO), osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, intervertebral disc disease, pain, lameness, neoplasia/cancer, weight loss/exercise plans, and fitness/athletic conditioning.

Rehab Can Benefit Patients With:

Osteoarthritis & Bone Disease

Including degenerative joint disease, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, intervertebral disc disease and more

Post-Surgical Recovery

Secondary to other causes like trauma and cancer
